Children these days are lucky if they get to spend a full 180 minutes in school due to its full-day schedule. They don’t even get a weekend for extended breaks. It’s no wonder the number of students dropping out of school is rising.
School Pressure
For some students, attending school is the most daunting challenge they will encounter this year. School pressure comes from various sources, including teachers, parents, peers, and society. Some students feel the pressure to succeed immediately, achieve straight A’s, and attain high grades. For students struggling academically, this pressure can become even more overwhelming. Students have the hardest time with lots of homework, projects, and tests, making it hard for them to pay attention in class. It’s the teachers’ fault. They have so much to teach; they make it so hard for students through high school, college, and graduation. Sometimes they get teachers that don’t help them learn; that will test them. This can make them not want to learn as much as they can. Some students don’t have a good teacher, which makes school not so fun for them. They don’t like to pay attention; they are mean, don’t listen to their students, etc. Sometimes, students just don’t like it at school. Maybe they don’t like the class or the teacher or think that school is boring.
However, it’s essential to acknowledge that a dislike of school can stem from various factors. Sometimes, it’s not solely the teacher or the class but a broader perception that school is dull or uninteresting.
